S01E01 Gäste: Bob Konrad und Richard Kropf (You Are Wanted, 4 Blocks)

In der ersten Folge von SERIENREIF treffe ich die Drehbuchautoren Bob Konrad und Richard Kropf, die – zusammen mit ihrem „writer’s room“-Kollegen Hanno Hackfort – gleich für zwei der wichtigsten deutschen Serien des Jahres 2017 verantwortlich sind:

„You Are Wanted“ ist die herbeigesehnte erste amazon-Produktion aus Deutschland, die ab dem 17. März weltweit auf dem Videostreamingportal zu sehen sein wird. Das Projekt übernommen hat Film-Superstar Matthias Schweighöfer, der hier gleichzeitig als Hauptdarsteller, Regisseur und Produzent auftritt und damit die öffentliche Aufmerksamkeit auf sich zieht.

Erst am 8. Mai startet ihre Mafiaserie „4 Blocks“ auf dem kleinen Münchner Pay-TV-Sender TNT Serie, in der das Autorentrio von den Familien eines arabischen Clans in Berlin-Neukölln erzählt, was von Genre-Regisseur Marvin Kren fulminant in Szene gesetzt wird. Dass über diese Serie noch viel geredet werden wird, haben bereits die starken Reaktionen bei der Berlinale-Premiere der ersten zwei Folgen am 15. Februar gezeigt.

Ach ja, bevor es mit dem Gespräch losgeht, fasse ich den aktuellen Status der deutschen Serie in drei Minuten zusammen und erkläre, worum es bei SERIENREIF in den kommenden Ausgaben eigentlich gehen soll (zumindest so ungefähr). Und weil der Podcast die Entwicklungen dieses deutschen Serienjahres immer parallel thematisieren will, gehe ich auch kurz auf den ersten großen Neustart ein – die Comedyserie „Jerks“ von und mit Christian Ulmen, die auf maxdome und ProSieben läuft.
