Ich erinnere dich an deine gern zitierte Überschrift von vor einigen Jahren: Vier oder fünf Folgen sind noch keine Serie!

    Bei HBO & Co. gibt es diese Miniserien als besondere Events natürlich auch immer mal wieder, aber das Eigentliche, wofür sie weltweit berühmt geworden sind, sind doch eben die auf drei, vier, fünf oder potentiell endlos viele Staffeln angelegten Serien. Wo sind da die modernen Vertreter im ZDF-Programm? Insofern ist doch ein Ding wie „Die Protokollantin“ gegenüber etwa „KDD“ eher wieder ein Rückschritt, was die Serialisierung betrifft.

  2. Hi Marcus, ja, ist ne Miniserie. Wenn es als solche bezeichnet wird, ist es auch okay, finde ich. Immerhin 5x 1 Stunde. Mein Kommentar stammt ja aus einer Zeit, als uns 2-3 Folgen von Halbstündern (ich glaube, es ging um Lerchenberg?) als Serie verkauft wurden. Was ich an der (Mini-)Serie lobe, ist die weibliche Hauptfigur, die ja eine Antiheldin ist, distanziert, isoliert, undurchschaubar. Das ist – wenn man vergleichbare Formate, vor allem zum Wochenende hin im deutschen Hauptprogramm sieht – ja schon etwas Besonderes, auch wenn das, auch das erwähne ich, glaube ich, international gesehen natürlich nix besonderes mehr ist. Es sind ansonsten eher die kleinen formalen Schritte (endlich ein Sendeplatz für einstündige Serien, wie lange musste man darauf warten?), über die ich mich freue. Und zudem ist es – auch wiederum vor allem, aber nicht nur, für deutsche Verhältnisse – wirklich etwas Besonderes, dass bei einer renommierten Serie einmal eine Frau (bzw. zwei Frauen) Regie geführt hat (haben) (ja sogar fast so ne Art Showrunner war, weil sie auch die Bücher geschrieben hat). Nach dem Ende von KDD und Im Angesicht des Verbrechens gab es einen ziemlichen Backlash, lange wurde argumentiert, dass das in Deutschland nicht funktioniere. Mit dem Start von Netflix in Deutschland hat ein Umdenken stattgefunden, auch bei den ÖR, aber man ist hierzulande nicht so weit wie man hätte sein können, wenn es nach KDD und Im Angesicht des Verbrechens immer weitergegangen wäre. Ums noch einmal zu unterstreichen: Das beachtliche an Die Protokollantin ist, dass es versucht, das klassische ZDF-Publikum mitzunehmen und zu fordern, nicht diejenigen, die Dark auf Netflix oder 4 Blocks auf TNT Serie/Sky gucken. Wurde höchste Zeit, das stimmt, man war auch schon einmal viel weiter (s. auch Reitz und Co), auch das stimmt, aber wenn nun tatsächlich auch zur späteren Primetime an einem Samstagabend im ZDF wieder mal was probiert wird, kann das nur gut sein.
